Ok, it’s definitely a Monday, and I hate it! I’ve already had a patient react, which this patient always does. My other coworkers are here, but at the same time not…of course, that could be said for me, too, I guess. I just keep telling myself that I only work 3 days this week and to be thankful for that.
On another note, guess who is the Cricut & Gypsy demo person at the Draper Michaels store? Yes, that would be ME! I worked yesterday, and it was nice. I talked with one woman for about 10-15 minutes showing her about the Gypsy and the markers for the Cricut. In the end, she said that she was going to ask for it for C-mas from her husband. I talked with a few other people, but no one actually purchased a Gypsy yesterday. What’s REALLY strange is that there were about 6 people who preordered a Gypsy, and I’m the only one who has come to pick it up! I’ve been telling everyone I talk to that I’ve been raving about it ever since I started using it. It really makes using the Cricut more efficient, saves more paper, and being able to go wherever I want to go and scrapbook is the BOMB, Baby! I would like to say that I would love to be home playing right now, but I’d rather be working on the house.
Speaking of the house, I have not done that much on it recently. I am really beginning to feel the need to do work on it and get things done. I am ready to do detail painting, and I have the special paint brush tool to do it now. That and I’m feeling up to finishing the house. I have to get a hold of someone to finish the fireplace. I have been putting that off because I have some medical bills to pay off, that and changing the locks was a lot more expensive than I anticipated. It’s all good, though.
The arbitration hearing on Thursday went well. I am still waiting to hear the “award” money amount. When I get that money, I will easily be able to pay medical bills off and be back on track, that is, if I get a lump sum. It’s a small enough amount that it should be a lump sum. The other thing is since I’m working at Michaels, all of the money I earn there will go to fun and toys, and all of my money from my nursing will go into the house and other bills.
I honestly cannot think of anything else to tell you all at this point. I hope you are doing well.
HUGS!

Me, My Cricut, & My Gypsy!
Well, I have had a BLAST creating Halloween decorations for work. Everyone has been telling me how much they love what I’ve done. Some people have asked if work will reimburse me for the supplies and such. The answer is no. Besides, Halloween is on a Saturday, so the Friday before I’ll be taking the decorations down from work, taking them home, and then decorating my house! I also get to enjoy them more at work than I would if they were decorating my house right now.
Michaels is planning on having a Gyspy demo on Sunday October 11, 2009. I called and talked to my mom about it. The Draper store doesn’t have anyone who owns one, knows how to work it, let alone going to be able to demo it. Good news for them is I put in an application for employment Thursday last week! It would be really nice to be able to demo the Gypsy, get paid for it, and be able to make Thanksgiving decorations for work in the process. Who knows, maybe I’ll make more Halloween ones. It would depend on whether or not they have a theme planned for it. In the past they have, but recently they haven’t. This is all dependent on whether or not I even get hired, of course. However, the store manager was the one to say that once I learned all the in’s and out’s of the Gypsy that she’d have to hire me to do demo’s. So I think I’m a shoe in…what do you think? In addition, I'd get the employee discount - yea!
Man, would I love to be at home playing right now! Alas, I own a home, have a mortgage, and bills, so I must work. Life is good, though, and I am happy.
Hope you are all doing well!HUGS!
