Ok, I have to reverse the curse! I have been having a hard time starting IV's and with veins blowing...for the last week! I am putting the energy out to the universe that I can start IV's and will not blow veins!
Well, the Flat Stanley project is back under way. They still have a few places they need to go before they go back home to California. Unfortunately they will not be able to visit some places because of extenuating circumstances - sorry Laurel and Julie. They have been several places recently - Wendover to see Wendover Will and the Metaphor: the Tree of Utah, the Ogden train museum, rode the Font Runner train, the Saltair, Gilgal gardens, Big Cottonwood Canyon and the Silver Fork lodge. Travel plans include Hill Air Force base to see the plane museum, Fat Cats bowling alley, and church seeing. We are hoping they get to go to Brazil this weekend, too. We'll see.
Mike cooked me a very nice King crab leg dinner for Valentine's Day. I was also gifted with some incredible perfume! We spent the day together, and that's all I wanted. The perfume does smell fabulous - both in the bottle and on me!
My weight loss goals are still there - although I'm not able to move towards them as fast as I want. I have gone cold turkey off the cola again. My new sobriety date is February 13, 2009. I have switched to plain water. I am doing better on not eating junk food on a regular basis. It's kind of challenging with Easter coming up - some of my favorite candy comes out this time of year. I am limiting myself to 2 servings of chocolate a day - that's down from whenever I felt like it. I am not loosing weight like my coworkers - some are down 9-12 pounds in 7 weeks! Let's just say I haven't really moved ANYWHERE on my weight, and I my goal is 10 pounds by April 1st...yea, I have some serious changes and steps to take. I was aiming for 20, but that's a far cry off now. It would be easier if Mike was wanting to exercise with me. We have talked about snowshoeing on the weekends but yet to actually do it.
I am working towards my Qualified Therapeutic Touch Practitioner certification, so if anyone would like to work with me - basically let me give you Therapeutic Touch on a regular basis, PLEASE, email me. The more I people I can work with, the better I get and the more experience I get. It's kind of like massage in that respect, and the other similarity is the universal relaxation response. I have plenty of scientific research articles that support other responses like decreased stress, anxiety, and pain as well as accelerated healing.
I hope that you are all doing well and to hear from you sometime.
HUGS!

Check with my grandparents and mother, they could probably benefit from Theraputic Touch. If I was there, I would definitely do it :-) I am jealous about the crab dinner. Mmmm . . . sounds amazing! Miss you!
