Hello, everyone. Sorry it's been a while since I last wrote - I've once again been a busy bee.
Update on my grandpa. He's breathing better as he's using the nebulizers. He is also going through his belongings and dividing things up. I think this is sad because he is preparing to die. At the same time he is in control of something, and that makes him feel better, which is most important. He found one of my grandma's old wind up watches, which he gave to me. He said it was more just a piece of jewelry than use as a watch. I think it's great! Every time a battery dies on a regular watch I just but another one. This one I just have to wind every day to keep it working! It's fabulous! Thank you, grandpa! I also got some stamps from his albums! US stamps are what I'm into mostly. It's really cool of him to give me some.
As for me, I am having fun with my arbitration for my MVA (car accident) from August of 2005. The other side now wants a deposition! I've already given my story twice now - once within 24 hours of the accident, and again in the discovery phase, which was written. I talked with my lawyer - William Morrison, who is fabulous, by the way. He says they might have some clarifications that they want to ask about. I think they are wanting to try and trip me up - try to see if I will give something different than I've already given twice. If you were to look at my over the phone description and what I had written, I'm sure that they are almost identical. The other person has a completely different story for the accident. It's a amazing! For me, it's not about the $$$, it's about the principle of the thing. My lawyer and I have talked about how if they had offered me all of my out of pocket expenses up front instead of about half, then this wouldn't be happening. So, I am scheduled for 1/20/09 at 3pm for this deposition. I'll let you know how it goes.
Work has been busy - I'm handling it well, though. We're doing the biggest looser, and I'm not doing it to win the $$$. I'm doing it to motivate myself, putting in my $$$, as a commitment to a better life style this year. I've started with doing my Pilates Mat workout on DVD Tuesday and this morning. I am going snow shoeing on Saturday with Mike through CWH - call 801-236-2294 to RSVP - hopefully I'll see you there! I am hoping that Mike & I are not too sore to go again up Millcreek on Sunday. I have been having blood sugar problems recently. I saw my GP (general practitioner), and he thinks that my body is very sensitive to sudden drops in my blood sugar. That and the stress I've been under with the changes in my grandpa's health, my sugars are on a roller coaster. He's having me eat trail mix all day long in addition to my meals. Yesterday was really weird because I felt like I was going to pass out, and my blood sugar was 116 - well within normal limits. *sigh* I did get to eat a real lunch today! It feels good to have that kind of food in my stomach - of course, it is dead right now. We'll probably have some people go home early today.
I need to leave at 4pm to get to the dentist - AGAIN! On Tuesday I saw the dentist to get a tooth prepared for a crown - the temporary that they put in became loose the 1st night! It's the only time that I now have to get it re-cemented in place. Tomorrow is going to be way too busy to leave early. I'm not going to have any fun coming in at 9am - it's going to just be super busy in the morning, and Doug has Fridays off. Oh well.
Anyway, I've been knitting some - mostly a scarf for my mom - I saw the yarn and knew it was just for her. JoAnns has a sale on yarn this week - everything they have is on sale. So I bought some yarn to make a scarf for myself - one to match my nice coat that I bought in Rhode Island when I was visiting Stephanie a few years back. I am almost done with my mom's, so mine won't be far off.
My quilt is almost done - I've kind of put it on hold as it's too big to take places to work on. That and the invisible thread I need good natural light for. Since it's been snowing, I kind of haven't had the light I need.
Hope you have a good one!
HUGS!

I don't remember buying yarn when you were in Rhode Island :-) Was it when we went to Joanns? Or was it at one of the little exotic shops I'm sure we visited in the small towns?
